On Monday, I took a trip to the Blueridge Parkway with my good friend Sandy Groover to check out the fall colors. According to the experts, drought and warmer weather will greatly reduce the color of the leaves this year. It was an overcast day, so most of our shots had to be composed without any sky. Peak color probably won’t be seen for another couple of weeks but in certain areas we found just enough hue to make a nice capture. I’ve found that it doesn’t take a lot a color to make a photograph pop.
Below are a couple taken prior to the time we had to get off the mountains because fog rolled in making visibility minimal:

Fall in the Blueridge Mountains
Erica and Chad’s Wedding
On Sept 8th I had the very special privilege of photographing Erica and Chad’s wedding in Thomasville NC. Beautiful in spirit, both families exuded that special bond which only love can produce. The smile on Chad’s face as he first saw Erica walk into the church was a sight to behold. During the service, Erica surprised us all by singing a love song directly to Chad while at the alter. Many tears of happiness were shed as she expressed her love for him. Best of luck to you both as you venture down the road of life together. May all your days be filled with joy and bested with love. PS…Chad, good luck with Q school, shoot lots of birdies and eagles and maybe one day we will all see you at the Masters battling it out with Tiger.
